I’m often asked about how to watch for red flags I’m often asked about how to watch for red flags in a parent/child relationship. A time when these flags start to fly are around significant shifts in the relationship. This can be a child moving out of the family home, a blossoming romantic relationship, or even a promotion at work that takes away from the bonding time that you’ve grown used to.

Watch for personality changes (usually due to life changes or jealousy) and be sure to keep communication open to avoid outbursts of emotion.

Being weighed down by resentments doesn’t help a Being weighed down by resentments doesn’t help anything to improve. But acknowledging that the resentment is there, no matter how deep down it hides, can lead to healing.

Sharing feelings of resentment can be a pivotal step toward forgiveness, not only for oneself but also for loved ones. When necessary, seeking professional assistance can help you and your family move forward together.

Remember, it's not too late to heal together and repair your relationship, no matter how dim the prospect may seem right now.

It’s not just about saying the ✨“right thing It’s not just about saying the ✨“right thing”✨ – it’s about demonstrating that you truly understand. Next time, choose words that hold more significance. Show them that you’re truly trying to make it right. Remember, healing begins with taking responsibility.

🫂 “You are important to me, and my actions did not reflect that.”
🫂 “I didn’t realize that I hurt you. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention.”
🫂 “I wasn’t listening to you in the way you deserved. I’m here and present now.”
🫂 “I now understand how my words may have been interpreted. That was not my intention.”
🫂 “I want to do better. Can we discuss what you need from me?”

Insecurity, envy of others, feelings of inadequacy Insecurity, envy of others, feelings of inadequacy, and self-hatred plague so many women. You, too, can appreciate and love your unique qualities by using the following tips:
💕 Acknowledge and heal the wounds from your childhood that get in the way of your ability to cherish yourself. For instance, if a caregiver treated you badly, accept that this was a limitation of your caregiver, not a reflection of your worthiness.
💕 Get rid of shame, negative self-talk, and a harsh inner critic. Replace with words and actions of kindness and encouragement.
💕 Hold yourself proudly in the world (fake it if you have to until you believe in yourself).
💕 Stop punishing yourself. Save guilt and remorse for when you really do something wrong.
💕 Celebrate yourself regularly. Spend at least fifteen minutes per day actively acknowledging the good you bring into the world. If you have trouble thinking of the positive, let your friends and loved ones help you until you internalize the message.

If you find that you can’t break the cycle of self-negativity, then please seek counseling. After all, you deserve to feel better about yourself!
