Whether it came in the form of having make-believe friends, visualizing your future, or creating fictional stories about traveling to faraway places with your BFF– you were implementing the power of your imagination.

Sadly, however, many of us grow to suppress our natural inclination to enjoy the playground of daydreaming without restrictions. But you can reclaim your imagination. ✨

Ending a relationship inevitably comes along with Ending a relationship inevitably comes along with tremendous pain for a couple. But sometimes it’s better to cut your losses rather than continue moving forward in a relationship that is most likely doomed to fail anyway.

As a Love Warrior, it takes a lot for me to recommend that someone walk away from a long-term relationship.

While I strongly advocate doing everything possible to try to save a relationship, in some cases it’s better to endure the pain and grief from ending it rather than suffer longer-term unhappiness.

Below are the top five scenarios where it might just be in everyone’s best interest to say “c’est la vie” and move on!

✨ Has there been cheating?
✨ Have big secrets been kept?
✨ Have values shifted?
✨ Has attraction become repulsion?

Remember, every relationship is unique.

If any of these scenarios occur and if you truly love one another, ✨seek relationship counseling✨ to see if you can sort things out. If you do decide to break away, it’s always best to do so lovingly and kindly, even if your partner is angry with you for your decision to leave.

⏰ Keep yourself busy. Spend time with supportive family members and friends. Finish a project you’ve been putting on hold or volunteer for your favorite charity.

🪞 Reflect on what went wrong in the relationship. Don’t shame or blame yourself. Rather do an inventory of your own responsibility for the demise of the relationship. When you take accountability of your own actions you enable yourself to have a better relationship in the future.

🧴 Practice self-soothing. One of the reasons why most of us love being in a relationship involves the pleasure we receive from being cuddled by our lover. But now their arms no longer reach out for you. So you must learn to give yourself the love and comfort you desire and not turn to the past comforts.

Most importantly, remember, there are plenty of good people out there and love will come again! 💕
