Keeping good company morale

How to Deal with the Over/Underachiever in Your Office

Some people are true slackers believing everyone else should take on their workload for them whereas others are perfectionists and work to such excess that others feel intimidated by them. In many ways these two extremes are flip sides of the same coin. They alienate others and bring down the company morale due to the coworker problems they create. In this presentation, Dr. Debra teaches participants how to spot these types in the office or recognize that they themselves fit this description. She offers the tools needed to change this vicious cycle.

Rest. You take care of your devices and your loved ones. You owe it to yourself to ALSO take care of yourself.

You wouldn't let this happen to your phone. So why do you let this happen to your brain, your mind, and your body?

If you want to heal like the speed of lightning ra If you want to heal like the speed of lightning rather than wallow in sorrow and self-pity, practice the following 3 tips.

⏰ Keep yourself busy. Spend time with supportive family members and friends. Finish a project you’ve been putting on hold or volunteer for your favorite charity.

🪞 Reflect on what went wrong in the relationship. Don’t shame or blame yourself. Rather do an inventory of your own responsibility for the demise of the relationship. When you take accountability of your own actions you enable yourself to have a better relationship in the future.

🧴 Practice self-soothing. One of the reasons why most of us love being in a relationship involves the pleasure we receive from being cuddled by our lover. But now their arms no longer reach out for you. So you must learn to give yourself the love and comfort you desire and not turn to the past comforts.

Most importantly, remember, there are plenty of good people out there and love will come again! 💕

This Mental Health Awareness Month, take some time This Mental Health Awareness Month, take some time to think about what's going on with ✨you✨. It can seem daunting at first, but once you get a handle on helping yourself (whether that is alone, with loved ones, or with a trusted professional), it will get better quicker than you could ever imagine! 🧠

This month serves as a reminder that taking care of our minds is just as crucial as taking care of our bodies. It helps to break down the stigma that surrounds mental health struggles, promoting understanding and empathy.

By raising awareness, we can create a supportive community where individuals feel safe to seek help and share their experiences. Let us use this time to educate ourselves and others, advocate for better mental health resources and acceptance, and celebrate the progress made in mental health care.

Together, we can foster a culture of acceptance and support, ensuring that no one has to face their mental health challenges alone.

We may not have a say in what happens to us as we We may not have a say in what happens to us as we go about our day, but we always have a choice in how we respond.

Choose kindness.
Role model kind and serene behaviors.

Small acts of compassion can transform the world around us, creating ripples of positivity that extend far beyond our immediate surroundings.

In moments of frustration or challenge, take a deep breath and remind yourself of the strength found in empathy. By choosing kindness over anger and vitriol, you contribute to a more harmonious and caring community, where everyone feels valued and respected.

Remember, the impact of your actions can be profound, and being a beacon of kindness is a gift you give not only to others but to yourself as well.

⛽️ Invalidating: You find yourself invalidating your own feelings, saying things like, “I’m overreacting”, “other people are worse off”, or “it’s not a big deal”.
⛽️ Excusing: You make excuses for someone else’s bad behavior. Instead of acknowledging their toxic behavior, you believe that the problem is you.
⛽️ Judgmental: You believe that you are too sensitive, so you are ashamed of your emotions and suppress them.
⛽️ Should-ing: “I shouldn't feel this way”, “I should be over this by now”, “I should just be happy”, “I shouldn't be upset by this.”
⛽️ Not Trusting: You second-guess yourself & ignore your intuition and your own judgment because you don’t trust yourself anymore.
