Not too long ago, many people would turn up their Not too long ago, many people would turn up their noses at the concept of finding dates online, seeing the option as a sign of desperation reserved solely for perverts and/or losers. But in the last decade or two, I’ve seen a growing trend of very cool people scoping out the prospects online. Many people see Internet dating as the only way to search for other singles.

❤️ The Do’s and Don'ts of Online Dating ❤️

✅ Do
📱 Be honest.
While many online daters see no harm in fudging the truth to prevent scaring a potential match away, in the long run, this tactic will backfire. And then you’ll have a lot of explaining to do when the truth comes out and your deceit creates feelings of betrayal in the other person. Mind you, more than likely, you will encounter many people who will blatantly lie to make themselves appear better than they are on paper. But remember: two wrongs don’t make a right. If someone lies to you, think twice about giving them a second chance.
📱 Pictures tell a story.
Post flattering current pictures of yourself in many different settings. Steer away from photo-shopped headshots. They don’t let someone see the whole or real you.
📱 Be specific about what you like and don’t like.
Stay away from generic descriptors of yourself, such as “sensitive” or “love romance.” These words can have different meanings to people. Give concrete examples of what you like and you’re looking for in a partner.
📱 Learn the art of soft rejection.
While many people resort to the old “Sure, call me” or “I’ll call you” tactic knowing that you’ll either never want to see the person again, it’s far better and cleaner for everyone involved to simply say, “Nice to meet you, but I don’t think this will go anywhere.” (see the don'ts in the comments!)

Expectations are everywhere we turn. Whether they Expectations are everywhere we turn. Whether they are conscious or unconscious, it is so important that we keep all expectations in check before they turn into resentments.

But how can we do that? My conversation with @wemetatacme answers this query!

I know you’re sitting there & wondering, “So.. I know you’re sitting there & wondering, “So...what is this book actually about?”

In short, “Sassy And Rude: Her New Attitude” is about healing old wounds, inviting an olive branch to your daughter (and encouraging her to do the same for you), and keeping an open, loving, and kind dialogue between a mother and her adult daughter.

🤍 Anxiety Affirmations for Difficult Days 🤍 🤍 Anxiety Affirmations for Difficult Days 🤍

When weeks after weeks get dark, it can be hard to remember what a truly good day can be like. Here are some things to remember when that happens.

❤️‍🩹 Your healing will happen in its own time
❤️‍🩹 You are not defined by this obstacle
❤️‍🩹 Every day is a chance to start new
❤️‍🩹 You are doing your best, and that’s enough
❤️‍🩹 This feeling is only temporary, even if it feels endless
❤️‍🩹 Taking steps, no matter how small, is still progress

Balance is one of the only constants in life. No o Balance is one of the only constants in life. No one is all lucky or all "cursed". Navigating life's ups and downs is a difficult skill to master; we're all still honing our skills...but it's worth the journey.

Here are a few examples of opposites that can exist at the same time.

☀️ Exercise & Rest
☀️ Accountability & Forgiveness
☀️ Softness & Stregnth
☀️ Anxiety & Confidence
☀️ Perfection & Errors
☀️ Growth & Mistakes

Are you letting your past relationships ruin your Are you letting your past relationships ruin your new ones?

So many of us have valid trauma from previous betrayals that stop us (consciously or subconsciously) from truly connecting to new lovers and friends. If you keep your guard up, you may not be able to let in a truly kind person who is perfect for you.

Just because your ex treated you poorly doesn’t mean that your new beau will commit the same offenses. So try to be open to new experiences and relationships. I think you’ll be glad that you did.

How do you stop yourself from being a “too nice” Mom? It’s simple. You’re honest, real, and genuine. Does that confuse you?

In my book, “Sassy And Rude: Her New Attitude”, I talk about the “too nice mom” who has difficulty sharing boundaries with her daughter. She has little time to herself, subdues interests of her own, and as a result, she quiets her own self.

If instead of breaking boundaries, you work to be honest with your daughter about your state of mind, real about your needs, and genuine with your support, your relationship will grow stronger than ever before.

Give it a try & let me know how it goes.
